About Me

My professional career path kicked off in 2016 after I moved to Fort Wayne, IN and began my first job in journalism. I spent the first few years working as a newscast producer at WPTA-TV (21Alive) which really shaped my critical thinking and writing skills. Four years into that position, I was promoted to Special Projects Producer, where I would get behind the camera more, shooting/writing/editing features and 30-minute specials. Through our work in the nearly seven years I was there, I received two National Edward R. Murrow awards for ‘Excellence in Writing’ and ‘Best Investigative’. I also received a Regional Edward R. Murrow award for ‘Excellence in Video’, as well as numerous regional EMMY awards for other productions. What years of experience in this position taught me, was that everything we do public facing, should have a purpose and impact — and I believe that reasoning transfers over to my current role in marketing.

In 2022, I had no intention of leaving Fort Wayne, but wanted to pursue new opportunities to grow outside the local news industry. I soon joined Entheos Audiology Cooperative as Social Media Manager. We offered a paid service to create, brand, and manage the accounts of private practice audiologists across the country. We began with 17. After a year, we had recruited a total of 45 clients, nearly half of the cooperative, into this new offering. Soon after, I was promoted to Lead Videographer/Editor and we launched a higher tier, paid video service, where we would visit practices and identify how we could help them move forward in their businesses. From new practice acquisitions, internal marketing, and brand overhauls, we were able to dramatically increase our department’s revenue while providing deeply discounted and beneficial services to the cooperative.

Our team also launched a podcast called ‘Ask an Audiologist’. From the beginning, I shot, edited, and help pre-produce nearly 100 episodes. While we posted to all social channels, we grew the Youtube following to nearly 500 subscribers with over 237,000 views in less than two years.

For the humanitarian audiology brand “Hearing the Call”, I helped double Facebook follows in a year, and take the Youtube channel from 30 subscribers to over 450 subscribers — with a reach of 234,000 views.

So what’s next? While I feel grateful for the incredible experiences to travel so much domestically & internationally, I’m searching for a new opportunity to continue to grow my skills, while remaining “home” and available for my young family. I’m so incredibly passionate about what I do, and thankful to have picked such a fun and fulfilling career. If you think I’d be a great fit for your team — please let me know!
